On June 16, 2026, Bazaar Technologies, one of Pakistan's biggest online grocery startups, announced a huge new project to build cold-storage warehouses all over Punjab.

What is Cold Storage? When farmers pick fruits and vegetables, they can go bad very quickly if they get too hot. Cold storage is like a giant, super-cold refrigerator that keeps the food fresh for much longer.

How This Helps Farmers: Before this, farmers had to sell their crops immediately, even if the price was very low, because they were afraid the food would rot. Now, they can store their harvest safely and wait until the market price is better.

The Big Picture: This means less food is thrown away in the trash, farmers earn more money for their hard work, and regular families get to buy fresher, healthier vegetables at the store.
