LAHORE: Pakistan’s most promising young golfers showcased their immense talent as the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) successfully concluded the Islamabad Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026 at the Islamabad Club Golf Course.

The demanding three-day championship, held from July 3 to July 5, featured a rigorous 54-hole stroke-play competition and attracted 72 aspirational golfers from across the nation. Competing in multiple age categories, the participants displayed remarkable composure, discipline, and competitive spirit throughout the tournament.

The Victors:

  • Category A: Muhammad Irtaza Hussain emerged as the champion after producing a series of impressive rounds, with Hamza Waheed finishing runner-up and Zaid Umar securing third place.
  • Category B: Saad Habib delivered a commanding performance to claim the title ahead of Muhammad Raza and Mustafa Zubair.
  • Category C: Abdul Rahim Usman demonstrated consistency and resilience to capture the crown, with Mubeen Akram and Muhammad Musa Adil completing the top three.
  • Girls’ Championship: Rameen Amin lifted the title following an excellent display, ahead of Zarmeenah Khan and Warisha Shahid.

Under the supervision of Tournament Director Malik Muhammad Kamran, the event earned widespread accolades from Islamabad Club members, who praised the outstanding standard of play and the determination shown by the young competitors.

Chief guest Aamir Saleh Abbasi distributed trophies during the culmination ceremony, applauding the outstanding performances of the young golfers. The Pakistan Golf Federation described the championship as another salient milestone in developing junior golf, thanking players, coaches, parents, officials, and Islamabad Club management for helping make the event a memorable success while strengthening the future of the sport nationwide.
