The comprehensive report delineates that the total fiscal allocation for the health sector during the current financial year stood at a mere Rs 925 billion. This paucity of funding fundamentally undermines the state's capacity to deliver equitable, high-quality medical care to its burgeoning population.

The Human Capital Deficit

Among the most alarming metrics is the severe doctor-to-patient ratio. The data indicates a critical deficit, with only one registered medical practitioner available for every 750 individuals. However, the survey does acknowledge a marginal positive trajectory, noting an influx of over 20,000 new doctors in the preceding year, elevating the total number of registered physicians to 319,000.
