State Bank of Pakistan Orders All Banks to Use Smart AI to Stop Digital Money Thieves
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), which is the boss of all the banks in the country, announced a brilliant new rule on June 16, 2026, to stop online thieves from stealing people's money.
What is AI Fraud Detection? AI, or Artificial Intelligence, is a super-smart computer brain. The SBP has ordered all banks to hire this smart brain to watch over every single money transfer that happens. It looks for weird behavior, like someone trying to send a huge amount of money to a stranger in another country at midnight.
How It Protects You: If the AI sees something suspicious, it instantly freezes the transaction before the money can leave the account. The bank then calls the customer to make sure it was really them who asked for the transfer.
The Big Picture: This means that even if a trickster gets your password, they will not be able to run away with your savings. The smart computer guard will catch them in the act, keeping your financial life secure and peaceful.
