The United States government has announced a wonderful new opportunity for young students from Pakistan who want to study in America.

What is a Student Visa? A student visa is like a special permission slip that allows a person from one country to travel to another country just to go to school. The US has a limit on how many of these it gives out each year.

The New Change: On June 15, 2026, the US State Department announced they are increasing the number of these permission slips specifically for Pakistani students who want to study science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Why This is Great: This means more young minds from Pakistan can learn about computers, medicine, and engineering at top American universities. When these students learn new skills, they can bring that knowledge back to Pakistan to build better hospitals, create new apps, and invent new technologies, while also sharing their culture with American classmates.
